MATERIALS

MATERIAL LIST REQUISITION AND ENQUIRIES

Considering the project in question, the Project Engineering Department shall produce the material requisition with all the necessary data for document. At this stage, the Quality assurance section shall ensure that applicable quality requirements are included, taking particular care of inspection and certificate requirements.

The QA/QC section shall also ensure that every material sourced by the purchasing unit meets the acceptable standard before procurement

The material manager shall be responsible for issuing inquiries on materials need of the project.

The inquiries shall be issued to qualified suppliers.

The qualification shall be assessed by the Procurement unit with the support of Engineering and Quality Assurance, on the basis of audit/inspection reports, objective evidence of ability to comply with specified requirements and previous experience in supplying same standard items.

The procurement unit shall be responsible for updating the list of qualified suppliers and filing the documentation related to supplier’s qualification.
